CTiF PhD Programme

The goal of CTIF is to combine the best of Danish and international research and entrepreneurship skills. This is a recognition that a flourishing economy depends greatly on the education system as well as on the culture of entrepreneurship.

Within CTiF, PhD students will find an excellent environment for research, entrepreneurship and education. The area of Information and Communication Technologies is one of the most important areas, when considering investments meant to increase productivity on the market. In CTiF we strongly believe that only by combining entrepreneurship with technological research the productivity will be increased. So CTiF applies the entrepreneurship approach at Masters and PhD level, by encouraging students to start their own companies to commercialize the results of their research.

In the education program at Aalborg University there is an entire division (Technology and Innovation) dedicated to the education at Master and PhD level, with the Technology section aiming to cover aspects related to the present and future technologies in both the wired and wireless communications and the Innovation section aiming to create the bridge between research and market. Nonetheless, the Technology and Innovation division aims also to prepare PhD students for a promising academic career.

With these goals in mind, CTIF is establishing strong cooperation bonds at PhD level with highly prestigious international institutions. From this effort have been generated currently joint PhD programs with AIT (Athens Information Technology) and STES (Sinhgad Technical Education Society), with more following soon.
